*cough*snork*hackhack*

Blue Crocus
The bad news;

I'm still sick.

The good news;

My nose is running like crazy but the snot is still clear. This is a good thing. Trust me. If it were opaque and yellow, it would be very, very bad.

This morning, I decided to run the few errands that I had so that I could hide in the flat for the rest of the weekend. I took some generic DayQuil before I left, which probably wasn't a good idea. I felt very floaty. On the upside, it made me pretty docile so I didn't get cranky with any of the stupid people.

My last stop was the grocery store. I wanted to stock up on generic DayQuil and NyQuil caps, plus get the makings for chicken soup. As luck would have it, the generic stuff was on sale, 2 for $5. Yay! So, I get two day and two night and go to the register.

But it seems cold medicine is a controlled substance. They could only sell me on day and one night. Which means after I checked out, I had to go back to the cold and sinus aisle to pick up two more boxes. Oy.

Look at me, pal. Do I look like I have a crystal meth lab back at my home? Do you not see the bleary eyed, sniffling, messy person before you? I just want to treat my symptoms. Besides, can I really make that much meth with two packages of each? I mean, I don't know the recipe or anything. How much cold medicine does it take to make a batch? How many baskets in a bushel? How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

Woo. I think I need to go lie down.

Feel Better Sweetie!
Yes, I too know the joy of blowing your nose and then happily saying: "Oh joy! It's clear and not yellow!" *shakes head in horrified wonder* A couple of bad sinus infections will do that to you.

Obviously, the drug store folks mistook your symptoms for those of a meth user. I don't know what they are and probably neither do they, but the running nose, etc is CERTAINLY a sign and therefore confused them greatly.

So, go take some more meth - medicine, I mean! And rest and feel better soon. I'm sending you mental images of chicken soup.
